Got the chest x-ray for only $50/50 minutes (they say the doc will get it in 2 days-- I expect there will be another bill from the people who interpret it). The TV in the waiting room was playing nonobjectionable talk shows (in Spanish was fine, they were sane people chatting, not like the offensive lunatic shows when I was stuck there for 4 hours last time.)
Didn't even have time to read the book I'd brought. Did a few sketches. Don't really like any of them. An attempt at a crummy horse, a sort of Border Collie, a lion whose face isn't right, and a unicorn head (that's as far as I got when they called me.)
When bro picked me up he told me he'd found Black Magic under a bush and laid him to rest beside the Zipper. Magic was a love. If at all possible I would have taken him in as a housecat when he was a kitten, but we had already twice as many inside cats as really works for us.
Bro has the door up on his bathoom. But he had to cut a little more off the bottom & got past the wood plugging the bottom, so it's got a hollow in it. Oh, well, it's underneath, no one will ever see it. He even moved a couple of pieces of his furniture back in. YAY.
The label of the cherry cheesecake I bought *says* it has graham crackers (wheat product), but that would be a crust, which it hasn't got. I suppose they ran out of crust and just slapped on the label anyway. Fine, it's better for me.
And here's the waiting room sketches.

Date: 2007-03-27 08:32 pm (UTC)I was surprised that the wait was so short - they told me they didn't open until noon, so I thought I'd get there a bit early and be near the top of the list. At 5 minutes to 12 I arrived to discover the office was open and the waiting room was nearly full (more than 20 people). There's no way of knowing how many people are ahead of you for the particular machine you need, though. They do all sorts of radiology-type tests.

The lion? picture is odd it looks like there is a sheep trying to get out- the lion and lamb did lay together and my god look at the child!!!!!!!
Hope the X-ray results come out A-okay.

Date: 2007-03-28 12:46 am (UTC)Unfortunately, the FIP is epidemic in the outside cats (it started years ago with mother cats whose kittens lived only a few days. Apparently a cat who's exposed to it as a healthy adult can often fight it off for years.) Bootless, Foxy, Amber, and Inky all show definite signs of it. Ringo might have it. There are only a few outsiders who look healthy and at the very least they've been multiply exposed to it.
All the animals I drew today have misplaced eyes at the very least. They look like alien beings to me. :^)
Thanks for the good wishes. :^)

Date: 2007-03-28 12:24 pm (UTC)*grin* I can draw better if I'm looking at the thing I'm drawing, but there were no lions, unicorns or cats in the waiting room. :^)
