POW fic stats

feng_shui_houseThe Pit of Weasels currently has 5188, up from 5,169 fic yesterday. They say they have had 70 fics added today, so I imagine people are still pulling fic off nearly as fast as other people are putting fic on. Still in the lead are Harry Potter (506) Lord of the Rings (169) CSI (168) Stargate: SG-1 (166) Star Wars (143) Buffy: The Vampire Slayer (141) and Stargate: Atlantis (141). MMm... their most popular fandoms are exceedingly vulnerable ones, belonging to copyright holders who actively pursue fanfic on line.
They've replaced the gray on gray box that said fen were solely responsible for/liable for their fic with a box 'Proudly welcoming Our new friends! Harper Collins, Penguin Books, Showtime Networks, Simon & Schuster, StarTrek.com, and Starz'. I suppose they attributed yesterday's drop in stories with them letting people see up front that POW wasn't any safer a venue than any other fanfic archive, so now they're trying to make it look as if they're lining up approvals in droves and these are only the most recent ones.
