Feng Shui and Possum Skull

My oversimplification of the Japanese concept known as 'Feng Shui' is 'improving your immediate environment will make you lucky.' Maybe it works. At least it *seems* to me that the harder I work on ehouse, the more fortuitous things occur.
Today I was out in the back yard sawing more palm trees down (these are taller than the house, but with very slender trunks) and Ken told me I had a phone call. It was Ti,the salesman from the first window company- the one I liked. I told him that while I preferred his company I had an estimate for the identical product that was $1500 less, and hoped he could work with me on that. He sounded agreeable. Then I told him I had an idea for the window that was a problem because the A/C *had* to go in that area, but it was stuck in the middle of three windows, which is not allowed by the hurricane code for the simple reason that it's very vulnerable. The wall should be partly filled in with cement block and the A/C stuck in as a wall unit, as it should have been all along- it's too low, for one thing. He agreed that would be in code, *and* he said they know someone who does that kind of work for them! Yay!
I really didn't like the idea of pretending it was a normal window until it was inspected and then shoving the A/C in it, and having it NOT really safe after all this expense.
He says he'll come on Monday, which is when Ken plans to leave (he keeps changing the dates on me- first it was the 5th, then the 7th, and now the 1st.) Ti is going to take me in the Mercedes to see his mechanic to decide if it's worth him buying it, & then we'll discuss the revamped window/door contract.
I'm so excited. Real windows. Safe windows. Windows that I don't have to cover up with plywood when a storm comes.
After the call I went back out to work some more and cleared away enough stuff to reach the wire fence. It's been pushed out of alignment by the trees & I wanted to see how badly off vertical it was, so I moved close... and saw... a possum skull lying on the ground next door. I didn't get a good shot, shall try again tomorrow. I'm not going to trespass, so I can't move it, but I'm sure I can get a better pic when I'm not so tired.
And rambling, you notice. I do that when I'm tired.
