Remembered to take out the recycling, and am working on collecting trash & newspapers. Have got started on laundry.

Guy came by early (10:30am vs 1pm as he'd said) to do the 'elevation' etc. stuff for the window company. I was eating grits when he came. I don't particularly *like* grits, but they like me.

A little while ago I heard thumping on the roof & since it's early for Santa I went out to look. Two guys from Building & Zoning were tramping around. I *think* the roof passed, at least when I looked later they'd taken the paper they were supposed to take. I called the roofer guys to let them know.

Info on Scribblit showing their Terms of Service- it looks as if it's on track to be going live near the end of the year, as [livejournal.com profile] two_corpses said back in August?. Anyway, it's hopeful.

I just called Bob's Red Mill 800 number, and at first the woman was 'oh, call Amazon because we sell through them' but I said 'I wanted you to know because this product isn't gluten-free and it might be making other customers ill, so I wanted you to know the batch number'. She took the number and said they'd refund me the full amount I asked for $51.00 ($25.50 each) I didn't ask for postage reimbursement, I'm not greedy. She suggested I donate the mix to a food bank when I asked if they wanted them back.

I don't think I'll do that, because the only one who'd want them would be someone on a gluten-free diet, and they're NOT gluten-free. Other Bob's Red Mill mixes are fine (the chocolate chip cookies and the brownies were wonderful). I think I will compare ingredient labels out of curiosity to see what's different.

Back to laundry, or should I try to write porn??

Sure, if you don't get a crooked lawyer. When I desperately needed an attorney I searched on the net, looked in phone book & asked everyone I knew for a reference. The first attorney I got ripped me off and did nothing except waste so much time that things got even more mucked up.

I'd much rather get a $51 refund check in the mail.
