Totally wiped out...*flumph*
Stayed awake long enough for the electrician to call & say he couldn't come today because the job he thought he'd finish yesterday was still incomplete & then I hung on until the Grocery Taxi guy came.
It's 11 am and I'm so sleepy (& still a bit shivery/sweaty) I'm walking into things. Going back to bed. Maybe I'll finish that dream about the Dover kittens (they looked something like Dexter Rex, but they were obviously intelligent, smug, alien beings intent on ruling the universe.)

I have Pixy Stix, they're mainly sugar & citric acid, which is Vitamin C.
Also I have echinacea pills & some echinacea green tea. Get up and FIGHT, immune system.

No, ascorbic acid is vitamin C. And it is usually in the form of Sodium Ascorbate that it is added to food.

But I'm still gonna eat the Pixy Stix. MMm... sugar and flavor, no harmful food value added.

That is very useful.
I'm sure they'd share their tuna in exchange for stories about your humans.
Tuna? *runs to tell Avon*

I like the idea of intelligent alien kittens, I do.

Look on the comment above this to see a couple of the intelligent alien kittens (which are not photoshopped pics. Really.)

Whatever it is, I still think they're gorgeous, but I love your description of them as alien cats.

It seems that you can spot it in kittens fairly young- when they use the litter box their heads will droop while they're peeing, some even winding up nose down in the litter.
If you like sciencey biology things, here's the article.
Hereditary Myopathy of Devon Rex Cats
http://www.devonrex.com/faq/malik.cfm
And here's a Devon Rex cattery with great photos-- quite a few with the kittens with the family's baby, which are really AWWW.

What really shocked me in that article was reading one of the case studies; a male cat who was exhibiting signs at age 23 weeks, then sired two litters before his muscular control degenerated to the point he no longer could perform. That breeder ought to be shot! The very last thing you want to do is breed a substandard cat, particularly a stud as they can sire many more kittens than one queen can produce. Therefore your stud needs to be of the highest quality possible.
Off to look at happy kitten photos now, thanks for the link.
