Electrician came over and together we dug the trench (about...90 feet? but not very deep or wide) to put in the pipe to carry the electric wire for the pool. He was going to bring a helper, but the guy proved unreliable (as in, he broke more stuff than he was worth) so he figured he'd do it by himself. I found a shovel and asked 'where'? We got it mostly done & most of the pipe laid in it when it started to rain & we had to quit.

We did more than he thought would get done today, so that was good. Hope to finish laying the wire in (and maybe he'll install the electric box, too) tomorrow.

He was also very nice & took me to the bank so I could get the last cashier's check for the roof. But boy, my shoulders are stiffening up. I just drank another cup of nasty echinacea tea. I think I'm getting used to it. Feel better than yesterday, only had a couple shivery/sweaty attacks not long after I got up. I'm hoping whatever it is, is gone.

I really do think some of the flower seeds are sprouting-- the coreopsis, and some 'mixed wildflower' seeds that had come in the mail as part of some weird promotion for cigarettes (yes, the connection is tenuous at best, they're not even tobacco plants.) I'm beginning to be fond of coreopsis. This is the second time I tried it and had them sprout quickly. Last time they grew quickly and flowered well, and withstood heat, bugs, and my forgetfulness.

Sounds like coreopsis are my kind of plant.

Well, I like them! They're sort of like daisies, but the ones I had were mixed orange and brown.

Mmm... this says they come in many different colors.

It's weird, Salem Cigarettes sent 2 nice little cardboard boxes with magnetic clasps, and 2 sets of cards with 3 calendar months on them (March- May, and then June-August) and little tips on what to do during the months (like March 14 watch for early spring bulbs blooming, March 30 remove and clean storm windows) and separate cards telling you how to do individual things like 'Closet cleaning'. And there were a few little odds & ends tossed in- for the spring ones they sent me 2 packets of wildflower seeds.

I was supposed to return a card saying that my mom wanted them to continue sending the stuff. I didn't send it, and so they never sent me the rest of the year.

I can't see the connection, either. 'Look, lets smoke Salems, they sent us some seeds.'

I believe you can get used to echinacea - Sis seems to have (mind you, she still tries to drown the taste with honey, but it's working better than it did...)

The third cup wasn't half as horrible as the first. Maybe it scars your tastebuds. :^)

Sounds like whatever it was you were coming down with, you've managed to shake it off. Hope you manage to avoid a relapse.
