Does LJ ever fix anything?

The Big Blue Box 'o Doom still has all the problems on it that I've been seeing for months. I just looked at it because I was reporting that 2 of my icons now show me someone elses icons. I hope I'm the only one seeing them, because while one is an inoffensive unknown SF groupshot, the other is a man making an obscene gesture & that is so not me. Fortunately, neither one is replacing my default or it would annoy me while waiting for LJ to get around to clearing their cache.

Which keywords? I'll have a look at your user pics to see if others can see them. Some of mine weren't showing at all till I cleared my cache.

And then I looked at my icons again and a whole bunch of them are mine, but under the wrong keywords. It's going to take me a while to sort out to report to support. I'll comment here with the list once I have it.

This is someone else's icon- I see a group of 4 SF looking people, including a blue guy. The keyword is 'Avon's safe'

I went via your User Info to look as your icon page and they all were yours and matched their keywords.

I certainly didn't see any obscene gestures. (Thank goodness)

Most of the time it's only the journal owner who sees the wrong ones- but on occasion, someone else can see them, too.

As obscene gestures go, it's not much, just the generic man flipping a bird.

You didn't give each one's own keywords, but I see:
- tomato hornworm
- a thermometer
- fridge magnets
- puppy thinking
- Avon hiding

So I think they're fine to other people.

Nope. I reported it and all I can do is wait for LJ to fix it. Last time I think it was about 4 days. I have no idea how many Support volunteers there are to cover everything, or how long it takes after a volunteer reports it to the LJ programmers before it gets fixed.

I had an icon showing up incorrectly - someone else's icon appearing when I tried to use one of mine - so I deleted it then uploaded it again. Problem solved.

*nods* I could do that(provided I can find the original icons- think they were on a computer I no longer have), but I would much rather LJ keep getting Support requests on this until the finally get off their whathoozits and FIX IT at their end.
