George called me just as I was cleaning up after painting the window repair. We went to the supply store & I paid for the pool light & housing- it's sitting on the back table now. It's very pretty. I am SO looking forward to being able to swim at night with the pool light on- you feel like you're floating in space. Must remember we also need to get about 80 feet of grounding wire. Pool guy says MasterSandBlaster will be by this Thursday, probably in the morning. (Must remember to move pool ladder safely out of range on Wednesday.)

George has a hidden leak in his own pool, so I gave him the name of my pool guy who gave him the name of a reputable leak detecting company (there aren't a lot of them), so that was a tiny favor I was able to do George in return. George winced at the price. $300 just to FIND it. Houses EAT money.

Am feeling less achy today after a couple days of taking multi-vitamins. Must remember that.

Will work on reinstalling the blinds tomorrow, Lord Willin' and the Crick Don' Rise. Have other projects to keep me busy today- currently adding new layer of vinyl tiles to yellow bathroom & afterward I think I'll paint inside vanity (plumber next door did his usual lousy job of installation so the sink leaked & the interior of the vanity is discolored). And there's more joint compounding to be put on the bare drywall where the dishwasher used to be. I am the Drywall Queen. George looked at my window repair and said 'Nice job. When I smash walls to fix wiring I should have you come and fix the walls. I don't do walls.' George is a nice guy-- just way busy, and he has difficulty taking me seriously when I tell him I'm going to do something.

I don't know why. Doesn't everyone make bear statues out of rubble?

Of course.

I'm saving mine until we get round to extending the caravan hardstanding, then it will get used as hard core.

I'm just waiting to collect enough rubble to do mine...

You could do a mini-bear. :^)

I totally would if I had a backyard to put it in.

Or rubble to make it out of, for that matter.

Maybe you could make a mini-bear out of Origami and put him just outside your door.

More work than I can imagine doing--I think I'm just too lazy.

Nah, you're just not desperate enough. If you lived in Ehouse in Hellholeah, you'd be strongly motivated to do whatever it took to climb out of the pit.

This sounds very positive. Oh, to have a pool! You are right, swimming in the night is gorgeous...
Hahaha, I have got enough material to make a statue but it would not be a bear but an iron structure, my boys have collected an unbelievable amount of "Absolutely Necessary" spare/old parts, some of them looking positively alien...:-)
