You can't rely on fairies...

The ones who used to clean up the kitchen for me when I wasn't looking have apparently gone on strike now that I'm feeling a bit under the weather and could really use them.
My ear makes *interesting* noises like the airlock on a spaceship, every time I swallow. Quite distracting, I keep looking around to see if astronauts are coming to visit.
My throat is more sore and my sense of taste seems to have fled today, too, so although I *know* the chicken soup I made last night is delicious, I can't taste it. When I went to the grocery just a couple days ago they had a 2 for the price of one sale on half gallons of milk, so I now have 2 gallons of milk in the fridge but hesitate to ingest it because I'm taking amoxicillin-- wait! Ask my boyfriend he knows everything... ok, Google says amoxicillin doesn't react to milk, so I'm cool. YAY, I can has pudding, which at least will FEEL delicious. I have also absolutely gorgeous black grapes (the kind with that glamourous dark frosty sheen) that taste like... cold water to me now. *sigh* I had a banana for breakfast and it hurt to open my mouth enough to get it in. *self-pity, I has it- wallow, wallow*
Last night (around 6pm) my bare-root strawberry plants arrived, 25 of them in a box I would have thought inadequate for 2 coffee mugs. They're *pathetic* just a bundle of root with a tiny bump of sprout at top. I planted them around sunset & hope to get the energy to go water them soon.
I'm achy... must get up. If the fairies won't wash the dishes (still thinking 'bad Feng Shui' at me from the sink) they certainly won't clean up the cat box, water the plants or feed the birds, etc. much less work on the cement cat.
One good thing- I only have a bottle of generic acetaminophen bought LONG ago from Costco and when I noticed SNEEZE last night the expiration date was in 2002, I was ...umm... but my boyfriend says that as long as it's been stored away from light, heat & moisture, acetaminophen doesn't 'go bad'. Cool. Shows you how rarely I take anything.
