Well, 2 in. doll zippers aren't that common, so it seemed a pity to throw them out along with the trousers. (I'm *still* sorting and putting stuff back from my bedroom & I'd come across a ziplock bag with my Dr. Who sock doll's extra clothes. His clothes are pretty shabby, but then he's an old doll.)
I got 'round to uploading a few pics- this one will hint at the awkwardness of getting Uglee furniture out of my bedroom.
And this one shows Tommy clinging to my bed as I was stripping the room to paint it. He figured if he pretended to be asleep, I'd leave him be.
I've got the bedroom ceiling painted and repaired 3 vinyl floor tiles & really, the room looks pretty good. The FlistGuestRoom OTOH now has piles. Ah,heaps of my art supplies, recipes/cookbooks, and other books I had stuffed in the Uglee furniture which is now in the living room awaiting bulk trash pickup day. I am thinking I'll throw out the huge box my toilet came in- I was planning to keep it for moving day, but it belatedly occurs to me that a box without a lid isn't much use, is it? Except if you need a really big piece of cardboard. I hate to throw out an *empty* anything, though.
Am feeling tired today, so I'm NOT going to mow, although it needs it desperately. I found a box of tomato plant food, so I'll feed them and maybe I'll drown out the mice in Bernard again-- they are EATING my zinnias, and burrowing underneath Bernard. I have photos.
Currently I'm going through photo reference clippings- I had saved bits from magazines, etc. for many years, back before Internet googling made it a HECK of a lot easier to find a pic of an Osprey if you feel like drawing one. I just can't bring myself to throw things out en masse, so I'm going through them all. And finding some really cute things, like the cartoon below this cut.
I have an Evil Plan which may not work, for turning a pair of elastic waisted baggy pajama trousers into a nightgown. I desperately need a few new nightgowns & don't like PJs anyway. It might work... ok, enough procrastination, been up since 7 and have only put up a few things & fixed a couple of tiles. Even for a lazy day, that's too little activity.
Onward and upward, Excelsior, California Awaits! I have been told there's a pizza place with GF pizza just down the block from

Date: 2009-05-10 04:37 pm (UTC)A fabric store was moving after 20 years in one location, so they sold three pieces of their furniture to mom for $25 apiece- a matched pair like this one, and a different type with 5 open shelves and one pull drawer. My cousin drove us home in her pickup with me sitting on top of the load, keeping it from falling off.
My new house is gonna have *proper* furniture. :^) And I'm gonna try to have at least Some pieces in each room match.
Tommy loves my bed with its six quilts. :^)
