Also pics of pool permit papers, living bench in progress, dove wrapper giraffe sculpture, and neighbor's palm tree in yesterday's rain.
I'd never seen this species of dragonfly before- I swear it looks like the face of Goofy, with a blue toothed grin.

It was blustery, the light was poor, and the dragonfly was only about an inch and a half long, so it was tough to get a good snap

The sky was amazing today. That little white dot in the lower middle is the moon.

Taken in the morning, standing in my yard, no tripod, only using the camera's in-built zoom.

I'm pretty sure this is a century plant. It takes a long time to mature enough to bloom. Not a century, but I seem to remember seeing this plant in the neighbor's yard for more than 20 years without ever blooming. Now it blooms every year. It's about 20 foot tall.

My living seat is slowly coming along. Every few weeks to a month (depending on how much rain I've had) I weave in any new growth. Some of it is hardening into wood. The far left side can already support my weight.

The black-eyed susan vines are really starting to intermingle with the lantana. I hope they'll attract different species of butterflies. I've seen some that obviously don't like lantana- they just flit right past.

Pool permit papers, with Magic Marker glee added to the bag.

Dove wrappers work pretty well as sculpture.

It poured rain yesterday. It's hard to take pictures of rain. This is the only one where you can really see it.
